I am Corrie. I am a wife, a lover of fluffy things, a leader, a servant, and just your usual person. It’s hard to write about yourself, and extra hard to use words to describe who you really are, but I will try.
I am a recovering perfectionist and a recovering sugar addict. I work at a barn and love my job. I am also a writer. It is a daily struggle to pursue God on my own, but I always feel His presence in corporate settings. I am the oldest of five kids, so I tend to be a bit bossy and sassy. I like to try to see both sides of an issue. I always think of great retorts about 10 minutes later.
How “Tilling the Heart” Came About
I was (unknowingly) on the edge of burnout and stopped to take a breather for a month. Through rest, prayer, and processing through some difficult emotional situations, I found myself inspired to do something bigger.
My husband, John, is usually the one with the big ideas. But I’ve been in research mode for awhile now, learning about how to eat more healthy. I also got a degree in Biblical and Theological Studies and consider the privilege of my education as a responsibility to share what I have learned. I am also a wife in a happy marriage, which I find is more and more rare. So you’ll be coming along with me as I continue the journey both home and onwards.
Welcome to my little idea.
